Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Prezzley. By creating an account you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we reasonably believe belong to users under 13.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to keep it up to date. Notify us immediately at legal@prezzley.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials.

You agree to use Prezzley only for lawful purposes. You may not: use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others; post false, misleading, or deceptive content; attempt to circumvent security features or scrape data without authorization; use automated tools to create accounts or interact with the platform; or violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Prezzley's gifting pool feature allows multiple contributors to collectively fund a gift for a registry item. A platform fee of 7% is added to the product price to cover payment processing, fund management, and platform costs — this fee forms the gross funding target for each pool. Pools expire 10 days after creation if the gross target is not reached. Upon expiry, all authorized payment holds are automatically cancelled and contributors receive a full refund to their original payment method with no deduction. Once a pool reaches its gross target and all contributions are captured, the 7% platform fee is non-refundable. Stripe, our payment processor, may impose additional processing fees that are separate from the Prezzley platform fee. Prezzley does not guarantee delivery of any physical gift; fulfillment is the responsibility of the registry owner and the retailer.

Prezzley participates in affiliate advertising programs. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (tag: prezzley-20), an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. We also partner with Commission Junction (CJ) and ShareASale. When you click a product link and make a purchase, Prezzley may earn a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial decisions about which products appear on the platform. All affiliate links are routed through our redirect service at prezzley.com/api/go/ for click logging and affiliate-tag application.

The Prezzley browser extension (available for Chrome and Safari) allows you to save products from retail websites. The extension only sends product data to Prezzley when you take an explicit save action — clicking the Save or Buy button. It does not passively collect browsing data, track pages you visit without saving, or transmit any information from pages where no save action is taken. The extension requires activeTab and scripting permissions to read product data when you save, storage to keep you signed in, and notifications to confirm saves. All data is transmitted exclusively to www.prezzley.com over HTTPS.

All payment processing on Prezzley is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you contribute to a gifting pool, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on Prezzley's servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Prezzley uses Stripe Connect to route funds to registry owners who have completed Stripe's identity verification process. Prezzley reserves the right to place holds on funds pending fraud review.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership clauses, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Prezzley does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Product prices, availability, and descriptions are sourced from third-party retailers and may change without notice. Prezzley is not responsible for inaccuracies in retailer data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Prezzley, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the service, any conduct or content of any third party on the service, or unauthorized access to your account. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amounts you paid to Prezzley in the twelve months prior to the claim.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California for resolution of any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
